Regency style chinoiserie decorated partner's desk, red lacquer, parcel gilt and polychrome decorated with rectangular top inset with a 3 section embossed leather writing surface bordered by 4 claw dragons chasing the flaming pearl amid cloud scroll, the rounded corners decorated with stylized foliage within a simulated bamboo frame over a conforming case fitted to one side with three frieze drawers over a kneehole flanked by cupboards opening to a shelved interior, the opposing side with four banks of drawers to either side with central drawer over the kneehole, all within faux bamboo borders and chinoiserie decorated with figures, architecture, birds and animals in scenic landscapes. Height 31.5", width 84.75", depth 42.5".
