Large Southeastern Pennsylvania William & Mary walnut gateleg dining table, ca. 1730 , the oblong top supporting two demilune leaves, above a frame with 2 drawers and scalloped skirt supported by baluster and ring turned and blocked legs joined by stretchers, retaining an old mellow finish, 29 3/4" h., 45 1/2" w., 59" (open). Exhibited at the Philadelphia Art Museum October 7, 1982 - January 7, 1983. A copy of correspondence regarding this exhibit accompanies the lot. Provenance: John Walton.
