FRENCH AUTOMATON BISQUE HEAD DOLL WITH MUSIC BOX, C. 1900, H 15" OVERALL:Having a bisque head and hands with a wood and gesso painted body; the back head is incised with a single capital "E". She has a period blond wig and clothing which consists of a velvet dress with gold threading. The base is a music box-the previous owner states that it plays three tunes. Very nicely made.
