ANDRE DERAIN, OIL ON CANVAS, 16" X 13", STILL LIFE OF FLOWERS:Depicting a vase full of yellow, orange and red flowers with bright green leaves, no apparent signature however on the stretcher it is written "Andre Derain", within a gilt wood and gesso frame. Consignor says tah the painting originally had the Atelier Derain stamp on it in the lower right corner which the consignor claims was removed (unfortunately) by the conservator when the painting was cleaned - there is a photo in the consignor's file showing the painting with the estate stamp visible in the far lower right corner.
