American School, 20th century. "Still Life with Fishbowl", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Still life painting depicting a still life with tablecloth covered expanse with pink and yellow roses at center in front of glass fishbowl with two swimming fish flanked by orange with partially peeled rind, a footed bowl with green clusters of grapes, a sliced melon, peaches and nectarines. Framed approximately 30" x 36". Unframed approximately 23.75" x 29.25". Provenance: Sotheby's, New York, "Important Americana: Furniture and Decorations", June 23, 1994 as Lot 400.
