ROCKINGHAM PORCELAIN BOTANICAL DESSERT SERVICE, C. 1830, 26 PIECES:Including 11 round plates, Dia.9", (two plates with fine cracks at the well visible backside only, and one is stained at the well); 2 square plates, W.7 3/8" (one with a spider crack at the back side well); 3 leaf shape plates with pierced handle, L.10 1/4"; 7 double handled trays, W.10 3/4"; 1 compote, H.6 3/4", W.13 1/2" to the handles; and 2 covered tureens, H.7 1/4", W.7 1/2" to the handles (the finial of one cover has been repaired). Each piece is hand-decorated at the well with various floral sprays, bordered by stylized leaf panels alternating green and yellow, with gilt accents. Most pieces are hand numbered "3510".
