BELLEEK PORCELAIN 'CHINESE' TEA URN & STAND, FIRST PERIOD BLACK MARK, 1863-1890, H 15", W 11 1/2":One of the most interesting of Belleek's designs, the "Chinese" tea urn is complete with matching stand. Dragon forms grace either side of the urn and the main support section of the stand, which ends on four paw feet. The cover is accented by the figural finial, which depicts a Chinese man. Includes the original silk cord handle. All pieces contain the first period black mark, used from 1863 to 1890 with underside of the stand also containing the raised British Registry mark and is impressed "Belleek, Co. Fermanagh". Includes a separated red lacquer stand.
