CARL POUL PETERSEN (DANISH/CANADIAN, 1895-1977) STERLING COMPOTES, PAIR, H 9", W 6", L 7":Each compote is beautifully fashioned with protrusion at the top that is decorated with two clusters of grapes, each bowl has a scalloped rim and a shaft that resembles three leaf like objects that are topped with a sphere all ending on a simple round foot. Each compote is stamped with Petersen's maker's mark (a double P) along with "Hand Made Sterling" as well as the Canadian standard mark of a lion's head inside of a letter "C". Each compote weighs approximately 15.5 TRZ.
