Peter Robert Keil (German/American, b. 1942-), "Salome und Fetting in New York"-1975, acrylic on canvas, signed and dated lower right corner, inscribed on verso with title and signature. Abstract brightly colored figural painting depicting the 1970s German artists Salome (German, born Wolfgang Ludwig Cihlarz in1954) and Rainer Fetting (German, b. 1949-) at bust length with enlarged expressive faces. The two figures were romantically involved and were founding members of an artistic movement that later became known as "Neue Wilde" (Wild Boy or Moritz Boy). Framed approximately 38.5" x 38.75". Unframed approximately 35.75" x 36".
