(GEORGE III) ROYAL WARRANT GRANTING COAT OF ARMS, DATED 1774, IN A PRESENTATION BOX, L 18":A royal warrant presented to Arthur Harington, granting permission to bear the arms of Champernowne, as depicted at the top left of the document, authorized by Thomas Browne Esq.; Garter Principal King of Arms, and Ralph Bigland Esq., Clarenceux King of Arms of the Southeast and West Parts of England, measuring approximately L.17 1/2"; contained within original presentation case of brown tooled leather, measuring H.2 1/2" x 18 1/2" x 5 1/2", with two metal seals attached with a yellow silk ribbon and when uncapped reveal the embossed Royal Seal of George III set in wax (see additional photos).
