French, early 20th century. A carved gilt wood and gesso trumeau mirror in transitional Louis XV to XVI style with shaped top having central oval medallion above mirror of cast plaster depicting three cherubs or putti at play, each on the back of a scaled sea creature, the medallion flanked on all sides by floral garlands. Structure with fluted column forms to each side topped by rosette medallions, the beveled mirror to lower half of structure having a shaped top mimicking top of overall piece. Overall approximately 63" x 46".
