Chinese, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Three-piece patinated and gilt bronze figural sculpture depicting Shakyamuni Buddha seated at center on lotus flower base in double lotus with hand resting on knee and opposite hand upturned in mudra, Buddha with knotted urna, elongated earlobes and calm facial expression in front of pierced arched backdrop niche with serpentine dragons and Buddhist figures. Seated Buddha section and pierced niche behind figure set in base with gardooned edge and draped panel in front. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 9.1", width 6", depth 4.5".
