Albert Locca (Swiss, 1895-1966). "Mandolin Player" - 1959, oil on canvas, signed lower left "Locca 1959". Vertically oriented painting depicting a single male figure in striped shirt under tattered green jacket wearing black pants and red shoes, his gaunt face turned downward with somber expression looking toward the red mandolin which he plays with both hands near his hips, the figure set before a bipartate background in green and white. Stamps to verso of stretcher from Galerie Bussiere-Jannel in Paris and Couleurs Fines in Paris. Framed approximately 44.5" x 26.25", unframed approximately 39.5" x 19.75".
