AFTER JAN VAN EYCK, TRANSFER & HAND PAINTED MINIATURE ON PORCELAIN, C. 1900, H 3 1/4", W 2 5/8":After Jan Van Eyck's Madonna, as depicted in the Gent Altarpiece. Having a gilt background with a sole figure, the Madonna is shown reading a book and is garbed in opulent attire. The porcelain plaque is housed within a gilt metal frame that is suspended from a gilt metal Art Nouveau easel. No apparent markings.
