William Rowland (British, 20th century). "Autumn" and "Winter", oil on wood panel, each inscribed lower left "Wm. Rowland". Horizontally oriented naturalistic figural landscape scenes depicting a horse drawn carriage at center withstanding the elements of the stated season, the winter scene depicting the carriage traveling down a snow covered path with a windswept tree to center background and the figures donning hats and umbrellas to shield from the snow, and the autumn scene showing the grouping on a grey day with a green tree to center background and the figures wearing hats and overcoats. Framed approximately 12.75" x 17.75", unframed approximately 7.125" x 12".
