JOHN KIRSCH (1895-1977), OIL ON METAL. 15" X 15", 'LONGS PEAK N.' COLORADO:Signed lower right, framed; original label and title on reverse. Longs Peak North. John Kirsch In Estes Park. 1895 - 1977. Born in Neukirchen, Austria, and trained in European style in Vienna and Munich, Kirsh came to the US in 1920. He opened a studio in Estes Park in 1944, and spent summers there hiking the trails, and painting en plein air. He summered in Estes until his death in 1977. From the Estate of Pearl McKenney, Grosse Pointe Farms.
