RUSSIAN . 875 SILVER STUFFING SPOON & LADLE, ST. PETERSBURG, 1842 AND 1850, L 12" & 14 1/2":The two pieces with matching handles and gilt wash bowls, both are stamped on the reverse with maker's initials, assayer's mark, 84 enclosed within a square, and hallmark for St. Petersburg (see photo). The maker's mark for the spoon appears to be "IFF" enclosed, possibly for J. F. Falck, and the assayer's mark is partially rubbed but date is 1842; the maker for the ladle is unidentified, assayer's date is 1850. Two items weighing approximately 7.58 troy oz. and 13.14 troy oz., respectively.
