DUTCH SILVER SWEETMEAT BASKET, C. 1904, H 5 3/4", L 12":Rococo style oblong basket (lacking liner) with pierced scrolls, flowering vines and birds overall, a landscape reserve at each side surmounted by an urn with putti, flanked by flowering branch handles with perched birds above lion's masks-and-rings, raised on four claw and ball feet. Hallmarks include key and lion along with another illegible, engraved monogram and 1904 underneath. Weighs approximately 17.2 troy oz.
