GEORGE III STERLING TEA CADDY, LONDON, 1798-99, H 4 3/4":A sterling silver tea caddy with cover having a repousse floral and scroll band about the shoulder and foot. Hallmarks at the rim of both the cover and base include a lion passant, crowned leopard, date letter "C", and king's profile, with maker's mark "TP" enclosed in an oval (unidentified, possibly Thomas Powell). Weighs approximately 6.6 troy oz.
