Italian, 20th century. Large fully carved in the round life-sized bust of a Roman Emperor/Nobleman probably Marcus Aurelius, carved with six types of marble; the head in white marble with detailed curly locks and well sculpted facial features set in rouge marble shoulders and chest with conforming tunic and raised on a square black with white and gray vein marble stepped plinth base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 33.6", width 24", square base 8.25".
