PERUVIAN POTTERY PLATE WITH CONDOR DECORATION, & TWO VESSELS, PRE-COLUMBIAN, DIA 3 3/4"-8 1/2":Including 1 Peruvian plate with a stylized condor centering the well, Middle Nazca, c. 300 A.D., H.2 1/2", Dia.8 1/2"; together with 1 bulbous-form vessel, H.4 1/2", Dia.5", and 1 other vessel, round with molded prunts at the shoulder, remnants of red and black decoration, probably Mexico, H.3 3/4", Dia.4 3/4". Each decorated in shades of red, brown, and black. Provenance: the Peruvian plate purchased from Andre Emmerich, Inc., New York, ART OF ANCIENT PERU exhibit, April 1970 (see additional photo).
