After Claude Michel Clodion (French 1738-1814), late 19th, early 20th century. A matched pair of large Renaissance Revival style gilt bronze ewers, the scrolled handle, neck and spout decorated with grapes clusters and vinery, the handle joined to the body with a rams head mask, the wide mid section cast all round with frolicking bacchanal putti being lead by putto riding a ram, the tapering base decorated with cast foliage and raised on a circular spreading socle foot cast with vinery and grape clusters. Approximate height 20.25", width 10" (handle to spout), diameter of base 5.6".
