American, Early 20th century (circa 1910-1920). Set of twelve Gorham sterling silver sherbets each in Maintenon pattern. Each with gold tone or vermeil washed interior. Each marked on bottom with Gorham marks (some vary slightly), some with pattern number and pattern name. Matching sterling sherbets with three different types of glass liners comprising of three larger undecorated glass liners, six with almond form etching banding at top, and four with floral band at top. Height (of sterling sherbet without liner) 3.75", diameter of opening at top (without liner) 4". Glass liners of assorted size. Total weight approximately 51 troy ounces. Provenance: From the Private Collection of Mrs. Dorothy Edwards, Atlanta, Georgia. Note: Sherbets with additional glass liner.
