JAPANESE SATSUMA EARTHENWARE CENSER, MEIJI PERIOD (1868-1911), H 7 3/4": Of square section flanked by handles, two sides are decorated with women, one of which depicts them in a boat sailing a paper boat, the other two sides are decorated ducks, the neck adorned with circular and lozenge reserves with floral and diapered motifs. Signed at the underside (see additional photo). Measures W.5" to the handles.
