DOGON "WILLU", CARVED WOOD TRIBAL MASK, H 23" W 5 1/2": Being of a hollow rectangular form, with large slot eyes, and two raised, slender horns. From the Dogon tribe, Mali. Called the "Willu" or antelope mask. Typically used for funerary rites. Provenance from the Segy Gallery, New York, with a signed certificate of authenticity, dated November 4, 1974.
