1934 DETROIT TIGER TEAM BLACK BASEBALL BAT, 1934:Commemorative Championship black bat with foil stamped facsimile signatures of the 1934 American League Champion Detroit Tiger endorsees with Hillerich and Bradsby and printed names of remainder of players. Stamped in silver "Detroit American League Champions 1934" next to the Hillerich & Bradsby logo; The black bats for the Detroit Tigers in 1934 were the first of their kind and were a gift from Hillerich and Bradsby for the Detroit Tiger players and management for winning the American League Championship. (The bats were actually a dark brown from 1934 - 1937.) Very few remain. Every year thereafter they were given to both teams participating in the World Series until 2008. With cardboard storage tube.
