FRENCH "CREVOST A PARIS" FLINTLOCK, DUELING PISTOLS AND CASE, C. 1800, PAIR, 8 1/2" BBL.:a pair of French dueling pistols in a fitted, velvet lined, burl wood case. Made by "Prevost A Paris" and having octagonal 8 1/2" barrels, with flared muzzles. Gold inlaid stylized "Prevost A Paris' medallions on side plates. Inscribed gold inlays on top of barrels: "Prevost A Paris" and gold accents at muzzle and at hammer; Liege and German marks on barrels, walnut full length stocks, checkered grips. Octagonal plated butt plate, trigger guard, trigger and hardware; Type written card states firearms after manufacture, by Prevost were sent to Johann Muller of Bern Switzerland where the original label of Johann Muller was attached to the inside of the lid of the case and eventually sold by Muller. Includes all original accessories including the bullet mold, wood mallet, horn and brass powder flask, brass and wood handle powder measure and cleaning rods.
