French, 19th century. Large Louis XV style walnut veneered and carved armoire with arched cornice with shell and C scroll crest above large hinged door with shaped beveled glass panel that opens to space within (sides fitted for adjustable shelves). Interior with later mirrored back. Sides of armoire with quarter veneered walnut ornament. Jambs with fluting and leaf tip decoration. Front legs later replaced with carved mahogany squat cabriole legs with acanthus encrusted knees and scrolling, back legs cut down. Approximate height 95", width 57", depth 19".
