GORHAM STERLING SILVER & CERAMIC ART CO. PORCELAIN PORTRAIT VASE, C. 1895, H 8 1/2":Elongated neck above bulbous base featuring a hand-painted portrait profile of a lady, the burgundy ground overlaid with sterling silver floral swags and leaves, stamped with Gorham trademark at the underside rim of the base. The base stamped in purple with trademark for the Ceramic Art Co of Trenton, New York (C A C all in capital script letters in a wreath with bowknot). Very rare American porcelain vase made by a manufacturer in business for a period of 10 years, from 1896-1904 ?????
