Torres de Marcillo (Spanish, late 19th/ early 20th century. "Au Savetier (The Cobbler)", oil on wood panel, signed lower left "Torres de Marcillo, Paris". Painting depicts a young blonde beauty in elegant dress speaking to a older male cobbler in his booth regarding a pair of black high heeled shoes that they are both holding. The scene is set on a cobblestone street with stone walls from which a pair of birdcages are hanging. Framed 24.25" x 21.5", unframed 15.25" x 12.5.
