Theo Meier (Swiss/Thai,1908 - 1982/84), "Sketch of a Young Balinese Woman"--1950, pencil on paper. Signed and dated lower right "Theo Meier 1950". Figural pencil sketch depicting a young Balinese female beauty at bust length with short hair and wearing a beaded necklace. Woman with stylized lips and almond shaped eyes. Sketch contained in original carved wood Asian frame. Framed 18" x 14.25". Unframed approximately 13.7" x 9.7". Provenance: Acquired directly from artist, Mr. Emmit Noland, New York and Rome, Italy thence by descent to his nephew Mr. Mark Cantrell, Lilburn, Georgia in 2007.
