Chinese, likely 19th century. Pair of Chinese rose medallion vases later converted into table lamps. Vases with gilt applied fu or foo dog handles and gilt serpentine dragons on shoulders, exterior hand painted with enamels with traditional motif of cartouches with courtly figures, and birds and butterflies amid pink peonies as well as flower and prunus fruit. Vases mounted on gilt wood bases and with tapered pleated cream colored fabric shades. Approximate height (to top of finial) 34.5". _x000D_
