Shadowbox framed autographed white and lace half-slip inscribed in blue marker "To Francis, Merry Xmas, 12/10/57, Ty Cobb. Frame height 32", width 27", depth 2.5". Provenance: In the late 1950's, Ty Cobb was a patient of Dr. Charles Huguley at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. The late wife of the consignor, Frances Adams, was Secretary to Dr. Huguley at the time and apparently impressed Cobb with her vivacious and warm personality. He offered to autograph a baseball for her but she did not have one. As an alternative, she pulled off the half-slip she was wearing and suggested he sign it, which he did.
