Continental School, late 19th century. "Female Nude With Looking Glass" - 1894, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right "Emilie Cheuss (possibly Gheuss). Painting depicts a young beauty with blonde hair and porcelain skin, the subject depicted in the nude from behind as she stands holding a hand mirror in left hand and pulls a hair pin from her head with right hand, holding a drape over left arm as she stands before a dressing table holding pearls and a perfume bottle, with rich red drape to her right. Framed approximately 27.25" x 20.5", unframed 19.75" x 13.75".
