James Stuart Park (British/ American, 1862-1933). "Purple & White Violas", oil on canvas, signed lower right "Stuart Park". Painting depicts an arrangement of purple and white flowers in a short round white vase set upon a green plane with a deep purple field behind, with fallen green leaves decorating the area around the vase. Rectangular canvas set within a frame with ovular opening. Inscribed to verso of stretcher "Oblong Purple & White Violas". Framed approximately 17" x 20", unframed approximately 12" x 15".
