English School, early 19th century. "Tudor Farmhouse" - 1818, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower left of center "J. Humphreys 1818". Painting depicts a rolling countryside with high mountains and foothills receding into distance on left with structures visibly in the background, with a tudor farmhouse to right in foreground beside a cluster of large trees at center, with farmers and workers tending to a hay field at left, a boy leading a horse drawn cart down the dirt path away from house, and a small pond in left foreground. Framed approximately 44.5" x 58", unframed 34.25" x 48".
