BABE RUTH AUTOGRAPH, FRAMED H 2. 25", L 3.75":In the family since June 1946. Owners great-grandfather (David Tallman) played golf with Babe Ruth twice a year. Additional note inscribed by consigners father: "Babe Ruth came to Cleveland to play golf with my grandfather David Tallman [Tally]. They met twice a year for golf in Hot Springs, Ark. When he was introduced to me at age 14 - I thot [sic] I was going to be given a Baby Ruth bar. This autograph was signed at "The Country Club" in Pepper Pike." Accompanied by a September 2011 article from Minnesota Golfer discussing Mr. Tallman and a picture of Tallman on the right in the picture and to the left of playing partner Babe Ruth in the center. Provenance: Handed down from great-grandfather to grandfather to father to consigner.
