ROBERT PENMAN, SCOTTISH FLAME MAHOGANY GRANDFATHER CLOCK, C. EARLY 19TH C., H 89", W 17":W 16 3//4", D 8 1/2". Satinwood string inlay; raised on ogee bracket feet. Hand painted dial having Roman numerals, second hand and date dials and a two key wind. The clockmaker marking on the dial is mostly worn off but does read "Robt. Penman" for sure. Penman of Dunfermline, Scotland, clockmaker working in 1820.
