CHINESE ROSEWOOD MANTEL CLOCK, H 19" H., W 12", D 10":Having a carved rosewood case, vertically sliding front wood framed glass access panel opening to a white porcelain face with roman numerals. Gilt brass surround with acanthus leaf designs. Chinese script in surround above 12:00. Arabic seconds numerals at 15, 30, 45 & 60. Removable back panel with open carvings depicting vines and grapes exposing an eight day 1/4 hour chime, Fusee movement. Two key spring wound with key. Hardstone clover shape inserts in the side panels along with open carvings of vine and grapes, small glass inspection panels. All supported on carved scroll form support brackets and feet.
