WILLIAM POWELL FRITH RA [GB 1819 - 1909], OIL ON CANVAS, 27" X 20", "SPINNING WHEEL":Signed lower left; gilt frame. Born 1819 at Studley near Ripin . Studied at Royal Academy Elected to ARA in 1845 and the RA in 1853. Member of Royal Academies in Vienna 1869, Belgium 1871, Sweden 1873, and Antwerp. He is represented at museums of Brussels, Leicaste, London and Sheffield. Won medal of Paris in 1855, Legion of Honor in 1878.
