American, circa 1880s. An American Aesthetic Movement ebonized wood display cabinet with inlaid burled mahogany banding and lightwood stringing decoration throughout, the top with projecting front corners surmounting corner blocks with inlaid veneer over banded ebonized columns with gilt Corinthian capitals flanking the two-door facade with banded frieze decorated with stringing inlay and central oval porcelain mount depicting a lady in classical profile with blonde hair adorned with a silver crown, the doors with outer banded framing forming canted corners opening to interior with two shelves and three rows of storage space upholstered in suede, raised on a conforming plinth trimmed in brass beading, decorated with conforming banding and stringing inlay. Lighted interior with attached cord. Approximate height 40", width 48", depth 15.75". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
