Lent to Yale University Art Gallery - Victoria and Albert Museum for Bicentennial Exhibition of "American Art 1750 - 1800. Towards Independence in 1976". Considered one of the most beautiful forms ever made in American pewter. Ram's head thumb piece. John Bassett worked in the earliest period in which any significant number of pieces were made.
