Likely English, 19th Century. A set of four oak side chairs in the Chippendale style, the yoke-shaped crest terminating in upturned ears over a pierced splat within a cavetto molded shoe, surmounting the trapezoidal seat with linen over-the-rail upholstery in a red, blue, and beige floral pattern, overall raised on four squared legs each joined by stretchers. Approximate height (tallest chair) 37.25, width (widest chair) 20", depth 18", seat to floor 18" (dimensions vary as chairs handcrafted and do not precisely match).
