Pierre Prins (French, 1838-1913). "Les Pins Parasols (The Pines)" - 1886, pastel on paper laid down on mat board, signed lower left". A soft pastel drawing depicting a serene meadow at twilight with a line of tall and short trees with high branches and wide canopies to middle ground and along horizon line backlit at center left with bright yellow setting sun, the foreground grassy meadow with tiny yellow and white flowers topping grasses, the hazy sky above in tones of pink, lavender, and blue. Framed approximately 21.5" x 25.25", unframed approximately 14.5" x 18.25".
