Roosevelt' on 'The White House' letterhead congratulating a Mr. Robert Tennyson Stanton on his 88th birthday, dated July 12, 1937. Signed in black fountain pen. Stanton was a Birmingham, Michigan businessman. A Detroit Free Press article on the page inside of the letter notes the birthday letter by Roosevelt. Includes the White House envelope with airmail stamp postmarked Washington, July 12, 1937. The second letter is a typewritten William Howard Taft signed letter on 'William Howard Taft Cincinnati, Ohio' letterhead (no envelope). Dated December 10, 1908, Washington D.C. To Mr. R.T. Stanton, Chicago Ill. The third item is an 'Inaugural Ceremonies' March 4, 1913 invitation for President elect Woodrow Wilson, and Vice President elect, Thomas R. Marshall. Includes program of events, two prints depicting portraits of Wilson and Marshall. The formal invitation and a United States Senate envelope it was mailed in. Addressed to a Miss Jean D. Holmes, Sage College, Ithaca, New York. Postmark Washington D.C. with postage. Senate watermark on flap.
