English, circa 1840. A fine William IV rosewood and brass banded work, reading or music table, the rectangular top with hinged section opening to a fitted compartment, the other end bisected with opposing bookstands having adjustable ratcheted easel back slopes, each with removable book rests, over a pair of frieze slides with bone turned pulls, the opposing end with single frieze drawer opening to compartmented interior with twin bone turned pulls, raised on an octagonal standard and keyhole shaped base with ebonized beaded border raised on four turned feet with casters. Approximate height 28.25”, width 33.4”, depth 19.4”.
