Manner of George Morland (English, 1763-1804). "Resting Beneath Trees", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. 19th century Romantic figural painting depicting a family of four (father, mother, toddler and baby) resting beneath a cluster of tall trees at left atop a hillside, the vast landscape stretching out to right with a flock of sheep grazing on the grassy meadow below. Framed approximately 24.25" x 30.25". Unframed approximately 18" x 24".
