Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Isaac Brokaw (1746-1826), Bridge Town, New Jersey, late 18th century, the hood with molded swan's neck cresting with carved rosette terminals and three brass finials above a molded arch and glazed inlaid tombstone door flanked by reeded free standing columns; the brass partially silvered and engraved dial with gilt-metal spandrels, centering in the arch an indicator of the moon's phases bordered by an ring engraved with "Isaac Brokaw" above the chapter ring, seconds hand, calendar aperture, and brass eight-day weight-driven movement; the waist with molded tombstone door inlaid with a conch shell and bordered by stringing and flanked by string-inlaid quarter-columns which are repeated in the base flanking the raised shaped panel, all on ogee bracket feet, refinished, (restored), ht. 98 in.
