Paint Decorated Tin Document Trunk, possibly made by the Oliver Filley Tin Decorating Shop, Bloomfield, Connecticut, early 19th century, dome-top trunk with hinged lid with wire handle, the front embellished with a bird perched on a branch surrounded by flower blossoms, leaves, and buds in shades of red, green, and yellow, the top and sides decorated with yellow pinwheels, fanciful brushstrokes, ribbon, and striped borders on a black ground, (minor scattered paint losses), ht. 6 5/8, wd. 9 1/2, dp. 6 in.
