Double Six-Point Star and Floral Appliqued Cotton Quilt, Baltimore, c. 1842, the quilt pieced and appliqued with patterned chintz and printed calicos on a white cotton ground, central design of a six-point star surrounded by another six-point star and four triangles interspersed with and enclosed by cut-out floral, urn, and vine chintz designs stuffed and appliqued to the white background (broderie perse), floral and outline quilting stitches, white cotton backing, (minor toning and scattered light stains), 134 x 125 in.
